The courses of the open university of the University of Eastern Finland are open to everyone, regardless of their background or basic education. In addition, all of our English-taught courses are free of charge until 31.7.2023. (With the exception of those few courses that have a fixed admissions quota, listed separately below.)
This applies to everybody who wants in, but we originally made this choice to help the victims of the war in Ukraine by offering them what we could: study opportunities. We are happy to extend this offer as wide as we can.
To register, you have these options:
- If you have a Finnish social security number and the Finnish bank credentials necessary for online identification (suomi.fi), we recommend that you register using the course-specific links below.
- If you do not, please use this form.
- If you need more guidance, please send a message to our general study guidance e-mail at avoinyliopisto-ohjaus@uef.fi, and we will get back to you.
