Learning outcomes: Basic understanding of environmental health as a field of science. Introduction to the critical evaluation of the environmental health-related research data. Effects of environmental factors on human health.
Content: Basic concepts and research methods of environmental health. Most important environmental factors and health hazards. Introduction to environmental risk assessment.
Study materials: Materials in Moodle -online learning environment.
Modes of study: Lectures 30 h, Seminars 6 h, Group Work 40 h, Independent Study 90 h.
Teaching methods: Classroom teaching, seminar. Both held on Kuopio campus.

Study units cost 15 € / credit. This price holds for the academic year 2023–2024.
