For students holding a Bachelor’s degree and who wish to gain competitive advantage through a degree from one of Finland’s leading universities, the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) offers a wide variety of Master’s degree programmes taught in English.
Our Master’s level courses are often taught in small groups, enabling close student-teacher interaction. Fluency in the English language is a prerequisite for all our programmes, and it typically takes two years to complete a Master’s degree.

The next application period for Master's programmes taught in English for the September 2026 intake is now closed and the next application period for September 2027 intake will be open in January 2027 (first joint national application round). To apply, students must complete an online application through the national Studyinfo.fi portal during the application period. Please note:
- Economics and Business Administration programmes had an early application period in October which has already ended.
- Erasmus Mundus Master's programmes and joint programmes may have separate application periods and forms. Our two Erasmus Mundus programmes have a separate application period from December to January. Please check the programmes' websites for more information.
Tuition fees and waivers
Non-EU/EEA students are required to pay tuition fees. The annual tuition fee for Master’s degree programmes taught in English is 10,000 euros per academic year. For students, the tuition fee will remain the same for the whole duration of their degree studies. The university offers tuition waivers and scholarships.
Admission results
Applicants will be selected on the basis of their application documents. When the selection decision has been made, the results will be posted immediately to applicants by e-mail.
