General information
If you have been accepted and offered a study place, you can confirm it electronically via the link in your email notification or by sending a confirmation form to the Admissions Office at [email protected] no later than the deadline stated in the form. You must accept the study place by the given deadline, or you will lose your offer. For the 2026 intake, study places must be confirmed by 9 July 2026 at 3 PM (EEST). According to the 'One Study Place per Term' provision, a student may accept only one study place leading to a higher education degree in Finland during one academic term (1 August–31 December or 1 January–31 July). This rule applies to all higher education institutions. For more information please see Studyinfo.fi.

Appeal instructions
If you have questions about the decision or do not understand why you were not accepted, please contact the programme coordinator first. Further details are provided in the rejection letter.
If you disagree with the admission decision, please note that the admission criteria, including language requirements and instructions for submitting official translations, are final and applied equally to all applicants. For example, if you were not admitted because you missed the document submission deadline or used unapproved methods to prove your language skills, the decision will not change even if you submit a formal appeal. Formal rectifications are considered only in cases where an error occurred in the admission process, documents were overlooked, or if a university's accreditation was not found in the databases and the applicant can provide proof of accreditation.
Scholarship decisions are not appealable and therefore it is not possible to ask for rectification.
Should you still disagree with the decision you may request for rectification of the decision from the Dean of the faculty. It is possible to make a request for rectification only after the admission results have been made and published.
When requesting rectification against student admission decision concerning bachelor’s or master’s degree programmes applied through the first joint application in January 2026, the deadline is 10 June 2026 at 3:00 PM (EEST).
The request for rectification is made via this form. Please find here further instructions for making a request for rectification.
In some exceptional programmes applied through other applications besides the first joint application, a different deadline may be followed. In such cases, the deadline is provided in the admission letter received by the applicant or in the admission requirements.
The request for rectification must be delivered within the deadline. Any requests arrived after the deadline will be dismissed.
