Staff and students of the University of Eastern Finland (all with UEF username and password)
Once you have a UEF username and password, you can use electronic resources in two different ways. You can choose a login method according to your needs, but we recommend registering as a library customer. Registered, you can take advantage of UEF-Primo's customer functionalities and get access to all the resources with a single login.
Registering as a customer — use of UEF-Primo's customer functionalities
- If you are a UEF degree or postgraduate students or UEF Open University students, register as a library customer using the Tuudo mobile app.
- If you are staff at the University of Eastern Finland and your information can be found in Oodi, register as library customers using the Tuudo mobile app.
- If you are a member of UEF staff, but your information cannot be found in Oodi, register as a library customer by filling in the registration form for UEFians.
Once registered, log in to UEF-Primo with your UEF username and password and access e-resources remotely via UEF Primo. At the same time, you get access to UEF Primo’s customer functionalities such as renewing loans, saving favorites and searches. Logged in to UEF Primo, you get more search results than without logging in in part of the databases, the right to retrieve content is limited only to those users who have access to the resources. Such databases include Scopus, Web of Science, and CAB Abstracts, among others. Login is irrelevant in search of printed material. If you are not able to log in to the customer registration form, check if you've already signed in to another organization's Microsoft account. Contradictory login is not possible. You can then fill in the form, for example, on a mobile device.
If you already have a library customership, but you are unable to log in into UEF Primo, the problem is in your customer information. To solve the problem, contact email@example.com. You do not need to register as a customer again.
No customer registration — use without UEF Primo's customer functionalities
Find the material you want in UEF Primo, open the link from the search results, and enter the remote access server your UEF username and password. You can also use the Quick references on library’s homepage. This way you can access e-resources, but UEF Primo's customer functionalities (e.g., saving search results or adding to favorites) are not available to you.
Register as a library customer online using a customer registration form. After registering, you will receive a separate remote access ID by visiting KUH Medical Library, or if you already have a library card, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Log in to remote access via a separate login page.
If you are a member of KUH staff, but also have a UEF username, act like staff and students at the University of Eastern Finland (see help above).
If you already have a library customership, but you are unable to log in into UEF Primo, the problem is most likely in your customer information. To solve the problem, contact email@example.com. You don’t need to register as a customer again.
