The UEF Library is an academic library open to the public and its collections are also available to all library users.
The library acquires both electronic and print resources to its collections mainly in the disciplines researched and taught at the university. The collections hold research literature, course books, periodicals, academic theses, databases, reference books, electronic publications and selected open access resources.
Furthermore, the library has several special collections and it is one of the six legal deposit libraries in Finland and a European Documentation Centre.
Information on the acquired materials is entered in the library’s data systems. You can search for both print and electronic resources in the UEF Primo. However, as an exception to the general rule, materials in certain special collections cannot be searched in the UEF Primo.
More detailed information on the principles of shaping the collections can be found from the library’s collection programme.
