UEF library sign.

Joensuu and Kuopio campus libraries' 24/7 self-study facilities are now open

What does the library's 24/7 self-study facilities mean?
The library's customer facilities are available for UEF students and staff with an access badge outside of opening hours.

When will we open?
We will open the 24/7 self-study facilities in Joensuu on Tuesday 2 November. We have already opened the same facilities in Kuopio in October.

Where and how do I get an access badge?
On Kamu's Self-study facilities page, you can find a link to the Student Admittance form. You will receive an email when your access badge is ready and you can pick it up from the Key Services office.

You can use the same access badge throughout your studies.

At what time can I get inside the library?
You can get inside through the front door every day from 7am to 11pm. The library door is closed for half an hour after the library closes to clear the premises of customers. This is a matter of user safety. Otherwise, you can use the library door 24/7 and access the toilets in the lobby.

For exceptions on opening hours, follow our news.

What about security?
There is a recording camera surveillance in the space. Security guards tour the premises at night. If you have problems with the access badge door, please contact the security services. Their phone numbers can be found at the 24/7 doors.

In an emergency, always call 112.

Where can I find more information?
On the library's website you can find information on the library's 24/7 self-study facilities as well as the Commitment agreement for use of self-study facilities. Check out the pages!
