The University of Eastern Finland invests in research career paths and continues to hire well-performing Academy Research Fellow applicants as UEF Research Fellows.

The doctoral conferment festivities in Kuopio culminated in the ceremonial conferment of degrees at the Music Centre in Kuopio on Friday. Doctorates were conferred upon 122 doctoral graduates as well as upon 13 honorary doctors. For the first time in a long while, the conferment procession was seen on the streets of Kuopio.

In the conferment ceremony, doctorates will be conferred upon 126 doctoral graduates, as well as upon 13 honorary doctors. For the public, the programme includes, e.g., Studia Generalia lectures, an exhibition, and an opportunity to attend an ecumenical service.

The university is inviting applications to a total of 20 early stage researcher positions in all fields and doctoral programmes of the university.

UEF is opening applications for its international degree programmes due to increasing demand for immediate study opportunities in Finland. The supplementary application round is open from 30 May to 13 June 2022.
