Pfizer Finland joined the Kuopio Health cooperative as a partner in May 2023. The University of Eastern Finland is one of the members of the cooperative.

The Academy of Finland’s Research Council for Biosciences, Health and the Environment granted more than 5.2 million euros of funding to Academy Projects at the University of Eastern Finland.

The combined process tomography and process control approach proposed in MSc Marzieh Hosseini's thesis is a significant improvement in the microwave drying industry.

The proposed scoring model would ease the pressures on general upper secondary students and allow them to focus on subjects interesting them. The new scoring model for certificate-based admission will be published in autumn 2023.

About 150 degree students celebrated their graduation in a joint ceremony at the Joensuu and Kuopio campuses.
