14 new doctoral researchers will begin their studies in the shared doctoral researcher position system of the UEF in 2023.

The doctoral thesis explores the potential of advanced MRI methods to examine secondary tissue damage at the sub-acute and chronic phase of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rodents.

The awards ceremony was held in Snellmania building at Kuopio Campus on 20 December 2022.

Awards were presented to Researcher Andrew Agbaje, Professor Larisa Leisiö, Postdoctoral Researcher Piritta Torssonen and the Karelian Institute.

The launch of the clinical trials will be moved to 2023.
