Kuopio Biomedical Imaging Unit (Kuopio-BIU) provides open-access services for research and imaging.

Just over a year ago, the University of Eastern Finland got its very own knitting pattern for woollen socks, inspiring knitting enthusiasts across the country to knit socks with the UEF logo on them. Now, UEF has served as inspiration for knitting patterns for sweaters and mittens.

The invited speakers are top-notch professionals from the U.S., Canada, Ghana and Finland.

The results of Isidore Mushimiyimana's PhD study not only offer new therapeutic approaches for vascular diseases, but also have the potential to benefit a wide range of diseases.

Last year, more than 1,300 Bachelor’s and more than 1,600 Master’s degrees, and around 150 doctoral degrees, were completed at the UEF.
