The Studies in Social Sciences module consists of sociology and social and public policy, along with social scientific thinking. The module provides students with a basic understanding of society as an object of enquiry, the materialization of social structures in everyday life, and public policy in the context of a welfare state.
The studies in geography and environmental policy emphasize the diverse examination of the relationships between nature and society. The studies delve into regional and global environmental, and well-being issues; examining, for example, sustainable development, climate policy, and the sustainability of natural resource use.
