Study objectives:
The student can handle familiar and predictable interaction situations with increased confidence and initiative. They can apply their knowledge and skills to manage simple personal matters in a Finnish-speaking environment. They know politeness strategies and can give and follow instructions in Finnish. They can describe and compare options and narrate past events in a versatile manner. They understand the main points of simplified media content and can extract information from regularly recurring texts. They can write short texts and exchange information on familiar topics. The student becomes more aware of themselves and their strengths as a language learner.
The objective is to attain the level A2.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
This course requires previous studies in Finnish language, for example course Finnish 2A or corresponding knowledge and skills (level A1.3 of the Common European Framework of Reference.)
Study methods: Active participation in teaching, independent work in an online environment, and completion of assigned learning tasks. To pass the course and participate in the exam, students must complete the course tasks successfully within the given timeframe. There will be a written and oral final exam. Students should allocate approximately 54 hours of work time.
Schedules: This course will be organized from March 16 to April 27. Online teaching on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12-14.

Please note that this course requires some previous studies in Finnish language (the course Finnish 2A or similar course). Before registering, you can take a course placement test to evaluate if this course is suitable for you.
The study fee is 20 euros per ECTS credit for individual study units.The study fee is paid at registration.
