At the Winter School of Social and Puclic Policy, we explore what social political thinking means in the 2020s. Social and public policy research has played a significant role in identifying societal injustices, supporting the construction of the welfare state, and interpreting collective responsibility. Yet in today’s political climate, one must ask: who is interested in social and public policy thinking?
Join us for inspiring keynote lectures by Minna Seikkula: The Border Regime and the Differentiation of Labour: The Case of Berry‑Industry‑Linked Migration (in English) and Tiina Sihto: Nuoret hoivaajat: Ketä kiinnostaa? The program includes seven panels including 21 presentations on themes such as care, migration, labour, capitalism, ecology, and welfare institutions.
Presentations will be held in Finnish on the first day, and in English as well on the second day.
Please see Winter School programme and venue information here. You are warmly welcome!
