Library opening hours and exceptions in summer 2026

• The Kuopio Campus Library will be closed from 6 July to 26 July 2026. Regardless of which campus library you use, please note that during this closure, materials will not be transported between the Joensuu and Kuopio campus libraries. Please reserve the materials you need well in advance. Loan periods at both locations will extend over the Kuopio closure period.
• Interlibrary services will be closed from 6 July to 2 August 2026. Please submit any interlibrary loan requests in advance. We will process the requests made during the closure in order of arrival and get back to you, if necessary.
• We will monitor the library service email accounts as usual during the summer. The library bot Uffe is available 24/7 to assist with common questions on the library website and in UEF Primo.
• The campus libraries’ 24/7 self-study facilities remain open also during the exceptional opening hours.
• We welcome feedback on opening hours and other services via our online form. 

Other things to consider 

• Key Services, which manages 24/7 access permissions, will be closed from 13 July to 31 July 2026 on both campuses. Please apply for access no later than Wednesday 8 July. The last opportunity to collect an access badge from Key Services before the closure is Thursday 9 July from 9.00 to 12.00.
