Coronavirus exposures at Carelia and Futura, all teaching in Taitola will go online for the next two weeks

A person who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been in the facilities of the Carelia building on Thursday, 19 November at 11–13. Exposure to the coronavirus has been possible in the facilities of the Joensuu Campus Library as well as in the Carelia restaurant.

A person who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been in the facilities of the Futura building on Tuesday, 17 November, at 10–12. The group possibly exposed to the coronavirus has been contacted and will switch to online learning for the next two weeks.

In addition, all teaching in the Taitola building will be organised online for the next two weeks as a precautionary measure.

Siun sote will contact all those exposed to the coronavirus for further instructions and possible ordering into quarantine.

People who have visited any location listed in Siun sote’s list of places where exposure has been possible are recommended to keep a close eye on their symptoms and get tested even if experiencing only mild ones.

Following the hygiene guidelines and physical distancing is now absolutely critical everywhere. Please do not come to the campus if you are feeling unwell, remember physical distancing, good hand hygiene and wear a mask.
