Coronavirus exposure at Länsikatu School

  • Academic community

A case of COVID-19 has been discovered at Tulliportti Teacher Training School, more specifically in the Länsikatu primary school.  Exposures have taken place on Friday and, according to a preliminary estimate, approximately 20 pupils and one teacher have been exposed to the coronavirus at Länsikatu School. The exposed class has been ordered into quarantine today (17 Nov), and will remain in quarantine until 23 November.

Contacting those who have been exposed to the virus is still ongoing, but Siun sote will call all those exposed no later than on Wednesday.

Other pupils and staff members are not regarded as having been exposed to the coronavirus, since they have not had a close contact to the person infected.

Contact teaching and guided teaching practice will continue normally. Teaching for pupils who have been exposed to the virus and ordered into quarantine will be organised as online teaching, among other things. The pupils and teachers concerned will be contacted separately.
