A new grant scheme supports the recruitment of professors for the Joensuu Campus.

The aim is to offer campus environment as a venue for various cultural events and performances. This supports everyday well-being and provides the university community with an easily accessible peek into the diverse cultural offering of the cities

The Research Council of Finland has awarded 2.5 million euros in funding for Alexander Diener’s professorship and the establishment of a new research group.

The researchers identified five key activist identities.

The study shows how circular economy startups create new opportunities by committing to reducing or minimising their environmental impact, engaging in experimentation, piloting and feedback-driven development, and fostering close collaboration with customers and partners.

The study explored the framework of the professional partnership in decision-making between Finnish regenerative farmers and nature.

Studies in the international Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes will begin in the autumn of 2026, and there are approximately 700 student places available at the University of Eastern Finland.

The awards ceremony was held on 17 December 2025 at the Kuopio Campus.

The UEF Research Group Leader training helps researchers who are setting up their own research group to succeed in their leadership role. The next application round will be organised in spring 2026.
