The religious landscape of Europe is becoming increasingly diverse, resulting in a need to develop religious education. UEF took part in a European-wide research and development project.

The university’s operational and financial result for 2022 was good. The result from ordinary activities was as planned, and the university’s income and expenses were in balance.

Just over a year ago, the University of Eastern Finland got its very own knitting pattern for woollen socks, inspiring knitting enthusiasts across the country to knit socks with the UEF logo on them. Now, UEF has served as inspiration for knitting patterns for sweaters and mittens.

Last year, more than 1,300 Bachelor’s and more than 1,600 Master’s degrees, and around 150 doctoral degrees, were completed at the UEF.

The University of Eastern Finland provides support for its teachers in the use of various AI applications in education.
