This accessibility statement pertains to the website available at https://www.uef.fi, and it has been drawn up on 21 April 2020. The accessibility of the website has been assessed by the technical provider of our website, Exove Ltd. In addition, we at the University of Eastern Finland have reviewed the website by using the SiteImprove and Wave services.
Accessibility status of the digital service
Our website is undergoing a gradual reform. The first stage of the reform involves the release of our main websites, i.e. the home page and the sections dedicated to studying, research, collaboration, university, and news and events. The newly released sections of the website meet the AA level accessibility requirements, which we have set as our goal. The accessibility requirements have guided the layout design of and content production for our website. The new websites of our degree programmes and units will be released later, and the same applies to the websites of the university’s independent institutes. These websites, still residing on our old server, are not fully accessible. However, they will be redesigned on our new server in 2020, at which point they will also become accessible.
Some of the files available on the website do not comply with the accessibility requirements. These will be fixed and made accessible as they are updated. We are committed to enhancing the accessibility of our digital services, and we are continuously working to improve it. For users to whom our digital services remain inaccessible, we offer special support. If this is the case, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
