List of library service fees

• New library card as a replacement for a lost card 5,00 €
• Overdue fee for course books and research books 0,50 € / day / item (maximum overdue fee 10,00  /item)
• Overdue fee for reading room material 2,50 € / day / item (maximum overdue fee 15,00 € / item)
• Uncollected reservation/item request 2,00 €/item
• Inquiry by the library for library user data updates 6,00 €

A loan block will become effective when the fees amount to 10€ or more.

Compensation for lost or damaged items in one of the following ways

1. Bring the same or newer edition of the lost/damaged item for replacement. In addition, we charge 5,00 € / book of processing costs.
2. Pay the minimum compensation fee of 50,00 € / book at the library's customer service desk. The fee consists of material compensation price 40,00 € and acquisition and processing costs 10,00 €. Items that are more expensive than 40 € must be compensated with the actual acquisition price. Paying at the library with a payment card.
3. When you compensate for the item with invoice payment, the minimum compensation fee is 61,00 €. The fee consists of material compensation price 40,00 € / book, acquisition and processing costs 10,00 € / book and processing costs caused to the library by the invoicing process 11,00 € / invoice. Items that are more expensive than 40 € must be compensated with the actual acquisition price.
4. Compensation for borrowed items based on the purchase price

• Fee for a lost storage locker key (Joensuu) 62,00 €
• Canvas tote bag 5,00 € (incl. VAT 25,5%)
• Mailing costs / consignment 13,00 €
• Customs duty outside the EU Fees charged by the Customs

Copies of other materials

• Other copies, such as copies of doctoral dissertations completed abroad, article copies from commercial suppliers, other special materials: as charged + delivery costs 5,00 €.

Service and photocopying fees indicated in the list of service fees will be charged for any uncollated materials delivered by the interlibrary services. If the lending library charges a renewal or overdue fee, it will be charged from the customer according to the invoice from the lending library.

As a rule, a loan refers to an issue, a volume, or a set of microfilms delivered at once.

Training services must be agreed with the library in advance. Costs are invoiced based on actual expenses incurred.

The courses included in the university's undergraduate students' curricula are free of charge. The credits from these courses are attributed to the library.

Training provided by the library to students or staff of the university is free of charge. Guidance for university staff, faculties, departments, units and projects is provided free of charge.

Custom-designed training sessions commissioned at the client’s request are invoiced by teaching hour (á 45 min). For billable training sessions, a two-hour salary is charged per teaching hour with one hour allocated for preparation. The library will provide a price quotation upon request for longer training courses and special cases.
