During autumn 2026, UEF Water organizes "after-lunch coffee" seminars on Thursdays. In the seminars, researchers from UEF Water, and other research communities and institutes, present their on-going research or water related current topics.
Exceptionally now on Wednesday, October 28th at 1pm, a presentation will be given by Junhua Xu (GTK). The topic of the presentation is "From Water Treatment to Metal Recovery: Integrating Bench-Scale and Pilot-Scale Technologies with Hydrometallurgy".
In the presentation, Junhua will introduce GTK Mintec’s Water Laboratory in Kuopio and Water Pilot Laboratory in Outokumpu, highlighting their treatment technologies and the integration of bench-scale research with pilot-scale testing and hydrometallurgical processes to recover valuable and critical metals from industrial waters and process streams.
