Do you remember your first day on campus – all the new people, the atmosphere in the lecture rooms, the excitement of exams and the highlights of student life? What about the changing of the seasons in Joensuu or Kuopio, and the moment you graduated and moved on?

We are now inviting you to UEF Alumni Day to meet old friends, hear inspiring speeches and reminisce about the years spent together. Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, you are warmly welcome to your home campus.

The programme includes common and field-specific content and relaxed evening programme – come alone or with your old gang!

Keynote (in Finnish): Everyone wants a good life – but how can we achieve it today?
Arto O. Salonen, Professor
Arto O. Salonen is one of the most insightful voices interpreting societal change in Finland. He is a professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies at the University of Eastern Finland and a member of the Finnish Expert Panel for Sustainable Development. In addition, he holds adjunct professorships at several universities.
His core expertise lies in making the broader directions of the future visible in a holistic way.
