Learning outcomes
Student understands:

- how circular economy brings nature into the functioning of the economy
- how innovations can support sustainable economy of the company
- corporate environmental responsibility and how to communicate responsibly
- the concept of the Anthropocene and its significance for the Earth
- various indicators that can be used to assess the relationship between nature and the economy
- what taking care of nature´s well-being means and what it requires

Learning materials
Web material, parts of “Assessing the economics of biodiversity in Finland National implications of the Dasgupta Review”.

Target group
Available for all everyone interested in the subject, for all UEF, international and open university students as well as alumnus students.

Modes of study: Independent study in the DigiCampus learning environment, successful completion of online tasks. Evaluation scale: Pass/Fail. Student's independent work: 27 h.

Teaching methods: Online studies, Lecture recordings 7 pcs and online assignments.

The course is available online between May 30th and July 31st, 2024. More information, the description and timelines of the course can be found from Peppi study guide. In their studies, open university students must adhere to the same schedules and study modes as degree students.

This course is free until Dec 31st, 2024, during a Biodiversity.now project funded by The Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment (JOTPA).
