Business analysis, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis and ratio analysis. Using of financial statement analysis (industry analysis, credit analysis. Prospective analysis. Valuation.
Teaching methods: Independent work 162 h

Topic1-- Major financial statements (1): Income statement and balance sheet.
Topic2-- Major financial statements (2): Cash flow statement and statement of shareholders’ equity.
Topic3-- Financial statements analysis.
Topic4-- Financial statements forecasting.
Topic5-- Valuations.
Teaching methods: Independent study (162 h)
Studying the learning materials and cases, completing learning assignments, completing Moodle exam (compulsory);
Attending online lectures in Zoom (only in spring, optional) 26.3.-19.4.2024, , see Peppi-guide, reading the suggested book (optional)
Final online exam (4 times / year, 2 hours / time, compulsory):
1st exam in April (open periods: 29.4.2024, 01:00AM - 11:59PM)
2nd exam in June (open periods: 17.6.2024, 01:00AM - 11:59PM)
3rd exam in September (open periods: 16.9.2024, 01:00AM - 11:59PM)
4th exam in December (open periods: 16.12.2024, 01:00AM - 11:59PM)
The final online exam will be opened four times a year. Students should choose one of the above open periods to pass the final exam.

Assignments 1-3 : 60%;

The student is able to
- identify steps and critical points of financial statement analysis
- calculate common financial ratios
- implement cash flow statement
- apply financial statement tools for various purposes
- identify basic valuation models
