UEF’s Virtual Open Day is here again

The University of Eastern Finland will hold a Virtual Open Day on Wednesday, 23 November, at 14.00–16.00, to showcase the university’s courses, programmes and services offered in English.

The Virtual Open Day is specifically aimed at people interested in the university’s educational opportunities available in English. So far, more than 500 people from all around the world have registered for the event. 

In addition to showcasing the university’s educational opportunities, the event also offers glimpses into the everyday life of a university student and the university’s employment opportunities after graduation. 

The event will be opened by Academic Rector Tapio Määttä. The programme includes, e.g., an interview with of our graduate Godswill Ikebu, who has found employment with the gene therapy company FinVector, and as well as videos and interviews with international students at the University of Eastern Finland. After the Opening Session, participants can hop in and out of Zoom rooms dedicated to different themes.

Currently, the University of Eastern Finland is home to around 2,000 international students. The university’s academic offering includes three Bachelor’s and more than 20 Master’s degree programmes taught in English, a wide range of opportunities for student exchange, research training for doctoral researchers, and the UEF Summer School.
