UEF partners with New Nordic School in international teacher training

The University of Eastern Finland partners with the Espoo-based New Nordic School to further develop international teacher training and school improvement solutions. The partnership with New Nordic School offers a novel perspective to international teacher education as well as an opportunity to expand networks through mutual, multi-professional collaboration. Through these networks, the goal is to make the latest research-based knowledge related to teacher training and professional development available to teachers and school leaders across the world.

“We are excited about the new partnership with New Nordic School. Our goal is to increase well-being in schools by delivering best-in-class teaching and learning solutions, best practices for transformation challenges and resilience to thrive and grow,” Key Account Manager Riikka Kuusisto-Kajander from the University of Eastern Finland says.

“The partnership with the University of Eastern Finland allows us to co-create and offer professional development services and organisational consultancy services in our target markets. We share the same goal of helping educational organisations to succeed and flourish based on the outstanding combination of international experience and high quality, and research-based teacher training practices from Finland,” Laura Luomanen-Jaakkola, Director of Professional Development at New Nordic School says.
