The University of Eastern Finland takes a lead role of the MATILDE Consortium

The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) has replaced Eurac Research as a Lead Partner in the MATILDE Project.

Prof. Jussi P. Laine of the UEF has been appointed as the new Project Coordinator of MATILDE. Dr. Andrea Membretti will continue as the Scientific Head of the project, as a part of the UEF team. Eurac Research and UEF are collaborating closely on the transfer in order to ensure continuity and high quality in the implementation of the project.

MATILDE is a 3-year project funded by EU Horizon 2020 facility, focusing on the impact of migration on the local development of rural and mountain regions. The project develops and tests a transdisciplinary conceptual and methodological framework for a multidimensional assessment of the economic and social impacts of Third Country Nationals (TNCs). 

As a consortium includes 11 research partners and 13 supporting partners in 10 European countries.
