The University of Eastern Finland is widely engaged in research collaboration with companies, business and industry, and public sector actors including other universities, research institutes and hospital districts.
Research collaboration with the university supports these actors in developing their resources and expertise, sharing their research information with other actors, and networking and gaining visibility at the national and international levels.
In practice, our university’s units, research groups, infrastructure units, and research centres carry out the cooperation through collaborative research and development projects, postgraduate and continuing education, business and innovation activities, and joint professorships.
The collaboration we carry out with our partners comprises, for example, co-funded research projects, ecosystem-based cooperation, sharing of research infrastructures, measuring and testing services, service research and reports, information exchange, and events. The collaboration ranges from individual projects to long-term partnerships. Learn more about out commissioned research.
