Scientists have found naturally occurring pathogenic fungi infecting the Eucalyptus snout beetle in Eucalyptus forest plantations, and characterised them to develop a bio-pesticide for controlling the beetle.
The University of Eastern Finland participated in a study that assessed the prospects of the ‘Nature Restoration Law’. The article has been published in the Science Magazine in December 2023.
Funding was granted from the Horizon Europe Programme to the NEMESIS project investigating the role of environmental chemicals as disrupters of normal human metabolism.
