The University of Eastern Finland (UEF) is the most multidisciplinary university in Finland. We are home to some 17,000 students who study a variety of disciplines ranging from biology to business studies, from education to environmental sciences and from theology to toxicology on our campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio.
For international students, we offer Bachelor’s degree programmes and several Master’s degree programmes taught in English, as well as non-degree programmes that cater, in particular, to the needs of exchange students. Many of our Master’s degree students stay on board at UEF to continue their studies in our doctoral programmes.
Power of communication
UEF Insight is the University of Eastern Finland’s new online magazine dedicated to exploring current issues and emerging phenomena. Our very first issue examines the power of communication. Communication involves both the exercise of power and being subject to it. We explore it from a variety of aspects, including human interaction, technology and the natural world around us.
