Welcome to YUFE Academy – a series of open lectures led by experts from YUFE partner universities.
The autumn 2025 edition of YUFE Academy brings lectures on a wide range of fascinating topics — from science and technology to society and wellbeing. We’ll look at climate change, exploring bold ideas such as cooling the Earth by reflecting a percentage of sunlight back into space. We’ll ask whether humanity is truly the culprit behind global warming and examine the hidden costs of urbanization.
The lectures also explore the impact of technology on learning and research: from the relevance of automated translation in academic work to practical tips on boosting your online learning. And because our alliance is so diverse, we will turn to intercultural communication – asking how much meaning is lost in translation.
