The growth in the number of degrees awarded is attributed to the University of Eastern Finland’s efficient educational processes and increased student intake in the early 2020s.
“The increase in the number of degrees awarded is partly explained by increased student intake, and certainly also by our long-term commitment to developing of education at the University of Eastern Finland. Many of those who graduated last year studied during the COVID-19 pandemic, i.e., at a time when the university invested in flexible teaching methods such as online and blended learning,” Vice Rector Laura Hirsto notes.
“The University of Eastern Finland consistently ranks among the top Finnish universities when looked at in terms of graduation within the normative duration of study, and this speaks volumes of the smoothness of our educational process and of the professional relevance of our education,” Hirsto adds.
