The University of Eastern Finland’s ranking in Medicine improved in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The University of Eastern Finland performed well in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 especially in Nursing Science. The results of the ranking were published on 12 March 2025.
The university’s research in Nursing Science was ranked in the top 51–100 in the world. Nursing Science has performed well also in previous rankings, retaining its position in the current ranking.
The university’s research in Medicine climbed to the rank range 301–350. Other well-performing fields at the University of Eastern Finland were Agriculture & Forestry (151–200), Pharmacy & Pharmacology (301-250), and Education (301–350).
"The University of Eastern Finland’s broad-based research in health sciences has established its position in international rankings, particularly in nursing science, but also in pharmacy and medicine," Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Markus Forsberg notes.
