What is Opin.fi?
Opin.fi is a digital service that for the first time ever displays the open studies offered by all Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences on a single site.
This service is for anyone who wants to develop their competence – learn new skills, complement their education or have an introduction to higher education studies.
Opin.fi offers versatile opportunities:
- Flexible forms of study: you can study in Finnish, Swedish and English, as contact teaching or distance learning, and choose anything from webinars to larger modules. You can also choose to earn credits or complete studies without them.
- New career paths and opportunities for a new direction: support for those considering a career change or needing new skills in working life.
- Update your competence or complement your education: flexible options for deepening or broadening your competence.
- Open study opportunities for secondary level students: a low-threshold introduction to higher education studies before you apply to a degree programme.
The service allows you to browse a wide range of open studies and filter searches based on your needs (such as form of study, schedule, credits, topic area). When you find suitable studies, you can register for them directly in the institution's service. Digivisio 2030 project is responsible for building and developing the service, which is operated by HigherEd Hub Finland Oy.
