Grants awarded for dentistry researchers

The Finnish Dental Society Apollonia and the Finnish Dental Foundation have awarded several new grants for research projects at the University of Eastern Finland. The recipients of research grants for 2024 were announced on 22 March.

Student grant

  • Kinnunen Jenni, Suun terveys ja metabolinen oireyhtymä, 3 000 €
  • Parviainen Jenna, Uniapneakiskohoidon vaikutus potilaan subjektiivisiin oireisiin, 3 000 €

Periodontology Division Grant

  • Abdelkader Hend, The role of periodontal pathogens in host immune response and in the process of atherosclerosis development: an omics study, 5 000 €

The Finnish Dental Foundation

Research grant

  • Felszeghy Szabolcs, New perspectives in dental student and patient education? VR-haptic- and 3D print-based training for dental students and their patients’ informing practice within dental education, 8 000 €
