Finnish craft science is a unique field of research even on a global scale, and Finland has played a pioneering role in the development of the discipline.
Tiina Laatikainen, Professor at the University of Eastern Finland and Department Director at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, has been appointed to a high-level advisory group of the World Health Organization (WHO), contributing to the global promotion of research and innovation related to non-communicable diseases.
The Board of the University of Eastern Finland has selected Lea Ryynänen-Karjalainen, DMus, Executive Director of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, as its Chair.
"Providing schools with tools that they can use to create a safe environment and curb behavioural problems is an effective approach in practice,” says Hannu Savolainen.
