The doctoral dissertation of Tuuli-Maria Sonninen, MSc, entitled From monolayers to microfluidics: Uncovering how brain support cells contribute to Parkinson’s disease – Impact of LRRK2 mutation and microfluidic platform on endothelial cell and astrocyte function will be examined at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Opponent in the public examination will be Professor Winfried Neuhaus of AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, and the Custos will be Research Director Šárka Lehtonen of the University of Eastern Finland. The public examination will be held in English.
