The Nordic POP and FinPharmaNet joint meeting was a great success, with high online turnout, top-notch speakers, and an engaged audience.
This year’s 15th FinPharmaNet Annual meeting held jointly with two NordicPOP workshops on New Frontiers in Prodrug and Bioconjugate Development and on Continuous Processing, was organized by the School of Pharmacy at the University of Eastern Finland on 26-27 August 2021.
Though the ongoing pandemic forced us to keep the meeting virtually, moving to an online format proved beneficial. Nearly 200 participants from more than 20 countries joined the meeting that covered the latest research and innovations in prodrug and bioconjugate therapeutics, continuous crystallization, modelling and PAT to material and formulation properties, career development, and student talks on drug research in Finland.
Many high-profile international speakers coming from academia and the corporate world engaged with participants generating fruitful discussions, potential new collaborations and prompting both attendees and speakers to share enthusiastic positive feedback with organizers.
