A new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Rantakylä Teacher Training School in Joensuu. Exposure to the coronavirus has been possible during Monday, 15 March. According to a preliminary estimate, approximately 55 persons in Rantakylä Teacher Training School have been exposed to the virus.
Those affected have been informed of the matter via Wilma, and Siun sote will contact everyone who has been exposed to the virus by telephone today or tomorrow.
Other pupils and staff members of the school are not regarded as having been exposed to the virus, because they have not been in close contact with the person who has tested positive for COVID-19. Their school work will continue normally.
