School of Forest Sciences at the University of Eastern Finland, and Social Acceptability Study (SAS) Network at Aalto University, Finland, are organizing an international workshop on Sustainable Bioenergy for sustainable development (SBSD2021) on a virtual platform.
The workshop is initiating collaboration with Finland and Latin America, and will focus on how bioenergy issues should be considered in research and education according to United Nations´ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Keynote speaker: Professor Electo Eduardo Silva Lora, Federal University of Itajubá, Brazil.
Professor Doctor Electo S. Lora is currently full Professor at the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), Brazil and Coordinator of the Center for Excellence in Thermoelectric and Distributed Generation - NEST. His major scientific contributions are in the areas of biomass gasification and combustion, solar thermal energy, and life cycle analysis (LCA) of systems and processes. He has been Visiting Professor at Washington State University and the University of Iowa dictating courses on biomass gasification and life cycle analysis. During his 40-year academic life he has 145 publications in journals.
