Mon 22.9. Leena Aarikka-Stenroos, Tampere University: From linear to circular economy: Circular, low carbon business perspective
- Theme of the lecture: As a response to climate change and other sustainability challenges, society and businesses are seeking resource efficiency and decarbonization through Circular Economy. This implies that companies, public organizations, and sectoral value chains and ecosystems need to harness circular, low carbon business models, renew their strategies and reorganize. Therefore, this lecture builds a picture of circular, low carbon business in our society in the light of relevant theoretical approaches (management, strategy, innovation, value creation, sustainability). The lecture gives also illustrative practical examples on low-carbon, circular business in different industries.
