We are looking forward to starting the new season of our Musculoskeletal Health and Technology Research Community Seminar Series. The first seminar this year will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 15:00–16:00 in Melania building ME101 and online.

We are delighted to welcome a special guest speaker from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, Professor Corinne Henak who will give a talk on Basic science to prevent osteoarthritis: cartilage oxidative-reductive balance and cartilage failure.

Bio
Dr. Corinne Henak is the Elmer R. and Janet A. Kaiser Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with affiliate appointments in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The vision of Prof. Henak’s lab is to drive fundamental knowledge generation and tool development to improve quality of life, specifically focused on the burden of mechanically-mediated diseases in humans and animals. To achieve this, her group uses a combination of experimental and computational techniques for mechanics and mechanobiology. Research in the Henak Lab is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the Office of Naval Research.

The seminar is open to anyone interested.

We look forward to your participation!
