Title: Introduction to clinical photon-counting CT and its applications in musculoskeletal imaging.

BIO
Dr. Kishore Rajendran is a CT imaging scientist and bioengineer whose research focuses on photon-counting CT and quantitative imaging biomarkers for musculoskeletal disorders, particularly osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. At Mayo Clinic’s CT Clinical Innovation Center, he leads translational research efforts to develop and implement advanced CT technologies that enable early disease detection, guide interventions, and monitor treatment outcomes. His key focus areas include musculoskeletal imaging, neuroimaging, and cardiac imaging. Dr. Rajendran collaborates closely with orthopedic surgeons, radiologists, endocrinologists, and medical physicists to ensure clinical relevance and reproducibility. His research is supported by the NIH and Mayo Clinic, and he has contributed to the adoption of photon-counting CT in routine musculoskeletal imaging at Mayo Clinic.
