There has been a coronavirus exposure at Tulliportti Teacher Training School, more specifically at Länsikatu school. The low-risk exposure took place during class time on Tuesday, 16 March.
To support students’ well-being and coping with their studies, the University of Eastern Finland will contact all of its degree-seeking students and actively reaches out to those in need of support. The teaching staff will also be provided with support for teaching arrangements.
The University of Eastern Finland presented Eveliina Ojala, Doctor of Theology, Maryam Samavaki, PhD, Timo Pekkala, MD, and Pasi Hirvonen, Doctor of Social Sciences, with the Young Researcher Award 2020.
“By studying chemistry, and especially by acquiring a dual qualification, one can ensure one’s employment opportunities in the midst of global challenges. I myself am a good example of this,” says Johanna Puukilainen, who is both a qualified chemist and a teacher.
The University of Eastern Finland is prepared to organise the entrance examinations in a safe manner.
UEF has received a significant bequest from the United States. Amounting to roughly one million US dollars, the donation constitutes the principal capital of The Ida Kokkonen and Walter William Hill Memorial Student Fund.
