Research on polarization time published in Optica

Researchers at UEF in collaboration with Aalto University have performed the first-ever measurement on the polarization time of random light. The method employs a polarization-sensitive Michelson interferometer and two-photon absorption detection. The technique was demonstrated for an unpolarized ASE source and a laser source. More information can be found from A. Shevchenko, M. Roussey, A. T. Friberg, and T. Setälä, “Polarization time of unpolarized light”, Optica 4, 64 (2017).
