MUIC provides facilities for High-Content, High-Throughput and High-Resolution fluorescence imaging, and hosts the Biocentre Finland supported Live-Cell High-Content Analysis Platform. We have recently installed a pipetting robot to facilitate the handling and use of of small scale libraries. Here you can find
The Multimodal Imaging Core is the latest addition to Biocentre Kuopio's Biological Imaging Centre (which also includes the Biomedical Imaging Unit and the Biomater Centre). We are situated at the A.I. Virtanen Institute in the Bioteknia 2 building of University of Eastern Finland's Kuopio campus, and provide infrastructure for imaging of live cells. The equipment has been selected and set up primarily for monitoring intracellular signalling pathways and multiparameter measurements. Instruments available at the Core include:
Live-cell High-Content Screening system
Beckton Dickinson Pathway855 with plate loader and automated incubator
TIRF and wide-field combination microscope
IX81/ZDC-Cell^R with 405nm/488nm TIRF and 340-620nm wide-field
Laser scanning confocal (7 line) – Biorad Radiance 2100 AGR-3Q+BLD
Nipkow disk confocal – Beckton Dickinson Pathway855
Wide-field microscopes (with deconvolution software)
Fully-motorised 6D imager – IX81/ZDC-Cell^R (with 405nm/488nm TIRF)
High-throughput and multi-sample microscopy
Beckton Dickinson Pathway855
IX81/ZDC-Cell^R (with 405nm/488nm TIRF)
