Antto Vihma works as a Senior Research Fellow in the Global Security Research Programme at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, Helsinki, Finland, and as a writer/editor for the Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB). Recently he has also acted as Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, the US, and Science'sPo, Paris, France. Antto specializes in questions of legitimacy and effectiveness of international agreements, the politics of international law, multilateral negotiations, geostrategy, and energy issues in external relations. His consulting experience in climate and energy policy includes the European Comission, several NGOs and businesses, various Fınnish ministries, and the Parliament of Finland. Antto's articles have been published, inter alia, inRegulation & Governance, Global Environmental Politics, Review of European Community & International Environmental Law andJournal of Environment and Development. Antto is also author of several widely cited policy briefs on climate change and energy issues. Currently he is launching work on a book manuscript on geoeconomics as a foreign policy paradigm.
