Study Modes:
Lecture-/exercise course: Online lectures and discussions 28 h, lecture exam 4 h, independent and group study (written assignment) 130 h.
The study unit can be completed as distance studies.
Experts in supply chain management as visiting lecturers.
Written case-assignment in groups which deepens the understanding of a selected theme.

Understand the role of supply chain management in creating competitive advantage to a firm
Analyze a supply chain strategy by selecting and applying relevant tools to develop the sourcing and logistics functions

Compare critically different supply chains from the perspective of value creation and sustainability

Studies start on Mon 24.10.2022 at 8—14 (Joensuu) or Tue 25.10.2022 at 8—14 pm (Kuopio), remote participation also possible. In addition eight distance learning sessions.
Online exams:25 November 2022 (reexaminations 13 January 2023; 3 March 2023)
Registration for the study unit starts on 15 August 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on 13 October 2022 at 15:00.
Recommended Introduction to Marketing/Introduction to Management/International Business and basics in accounting or equivalent information.
Written group assignment pass/fail. Group assignment to be returned and passed prior to taking the exam.
Exam 0-5.
