Guidelines for doctoral candidates are available at the web pages of UEF Doctoral School.

Graduation

After the student has completed all the required studies for the doctoral degree (study modules and thesis), he/ she may apply for the degree certificate. The personal study plan accepted by the main supervisor of the doctoral student must be attached to the degree certificate application form.

The delivery time for the certificate is approximately three weeks after the registration date of the last study performance or the date of submitting the degree certificate application to the Faculty. During busy periods, such as at the end of calendar and academic years, the time of delivery may, however, be longer than three weeks. The degree certificate is accompanied with a Diploma Supplement and a transcript of academic records.

For further information on applying for the degree certificate, please contact Study Secretary Taru Nylund, taru.nylund(at)uef.fi, tel. 040 355 3042, room G5-019 Technopolis building, Kuopio campus. If you are applying for the degree certificate of Licentiate of Philosophy or Licentiate of Science (Agr&For), please submit your application to Taru Nylund.

The degree certificate will be either posted to the student or the student may collect it from the Faculty.
